Ingredients

For the Brownie Batter
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder Dark cocoa can add depth if desired.
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar Coconut sugar can be used for a less refined option.
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Can be replaced with coconut oil for a dairy-free version.
  • 2 large Eggs Flax eggs are a great vegan substitute.
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Swap with gluten-free flour blend if necessary.
For the Decoration
  • 1 cup White Chocolate Chips Candy melts work as an alternative.
  • 1 teaspoon Black Gel Food Coloring Optional for crafting a striking design.

Equipment

  • 9x9-inch baking pan
  • Medium saucepan
  • Whisk
  • measuring cups and spoons
  • double boiler or microwave
  • toothpick

Method

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x9-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and unsweetened cocoa powder over low heat, stirring until melted together smoothly, about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually fold this mixture into the wet batter until just combined.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then melt the white chocolate chips and drizzle over the brownies in a spider web pattern.
