Cooking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Gather tools: a sharp knife for scoring the ham, a roasting pan for baking, and aluminum foil.
- Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, about 1/8 inch deep, and insert whole cloves into the intersections.
- Place the ham in the roasting pan, cover loosely with aluminum foil, and bake for approximately 2 to 2.5 hours until it reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).
- In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, spicy brown mustard, apple cider vinegar, and Dr. Pepper. Heat over medium heat, stirring frequently until it bubbles, then simmer for about 15 minutes until thickened.
- After 2 hours, remove the foil and brush the glaze over the ham, reapplying every 20 minutes for the next hour.
- Once glossy and cooked for a total of about 3 hours, let the ham rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.

Notes
Ensure the ham reaches an internal temperature of at least 140°F (60°C) for safety. Allow the glaze to thicken before applying for better adherence.
