  1. Start by roughly chopping 3 fresh lemons and 1 lime, leaving the skin on for added flavor. Pluck about a handful of fresh mint leaves from the stems.
  2. In a high-powered blender, combine the chopped lemons, lime, mint leaves, and 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup. Add approximately 4 cups of cold water for dilution. Optionally, include a handful of ice for a slushy effect.
  3. Blend everything on high for about 30-45 seconds until smooth.
  4. Place a fine mesh sieve over a large bowl and pour the blended mixture through it, pressing down to extract as much juice as possible, discarding the pulp.
  5. Pour the strained Lemonana into tall glasses filled with ice cubes and garnish with fresh mint or lemon peel if desired.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity as needed before serving.
